Panacea Technologies
Every technology invented by Bogdan Dicoias at Panacea Bio Chem, in one place. The instruments that synthesise, dry and deliver fragile peptides; the low-temperature preservation and process stack that keeps them intact; and the formulation science that decides what goes into each cake — each explained plainly, and linked to its own site.
Instruments & Machines
12The physical hardware — the machines that synthesise, dry, seal, condition and deliver fragile peptides.
- Lyoprester® ↗The dual-chamber cartridgeA dual-chamber, pre-filled, self-reconstituting lyophilization cartridge. The freeze-dried cake occupies one chamber and its solvent the other, held apart internally until the moment of use, so a single action reconstitutes the dose at the point of care.
- Liquiprester™ ↗The precision liquid cartridgeNot merely a glass tube filled with liquid — a controlled relationship between the formulation, the glass, the rear plunger, the injection pen and every mechanical increment the user selects. Fixed dose per increment, no piston take-up gap, no visible air bubble.
- Lyochrysalis™ ↗The lyophiliserA software-governed freeze dryer that runs the whole gentle-drying stack — LyoLevit, Cryolapse, TgShift, DiastolVAC, RF Tunnel, OxyDeplete, ArgonLock. It freezes, dries and finishes the entire journey, and was built to never apply the conventional hot secondary drying step.
- LyoLevit™ ↗Levitated thermal-decoupling dryingRemoves the heated shelf from the process entirely: the cake is lifted off the shelf, spun gently, and dried with radio-frequency energy plus a mechanism of Panacea's own. Drying without hot spots.
- PleniDose™ Gantry ↗The shared filling gantryOne physical gantry makes both products. The same motion platform and datum-control architecture serve the dual-chamber Lyoprester and the liquid Liquiprester lines; an interchangeable rod-holder assembly establishes the cartridge format.
- SealoPrester™ ↗Aseptic cartridge closureThe machine that turns a dual-chamber cartridge into a Lyoprester. By the time a cartridge meets it, five days of work are already inside the glass — synthesised, formulated, filled, frozen and dried while levitating. Servo capping, vacuum cap handling, the argon-locked final seal.
- Vana Machine™Vacuum–Argon–Nitrogen ArchitectureDraws the air and nitrogen out of the cake and backfills with argon; in a separate process, the same machine makes the P-EARLs bubble-free. It draws the cartridges down to vacuum and replaces only a controlled fraction of that fresh vacuum with argon as it locks the closure. The one technology in the showcase with no site of its own.
- EZnject™ ↗Point-of-use deliveryThe disposable auto-injector pen built around the Lyoprester cartridge. One twist activates autoreconstitution: the P-EARLs liquid is drawn into the peptide chamber at the septa. Reconstitution happens inside the cartridge, at the moment of use, driven by the twist.
- S3Pulse™ ↗The control brainMost freeze-dryer controllers watch a setpoint; S3Pulse watches the product — dipped thermocouples inside the peptidic liquid itself, vacuum gauges, a heat-transfer-fluid loop, and sixteen relay channels commanded through a three-phase machine.
- SYNTHESERACT™ ↗Adaptive peptide synthesisThe resin stays within a contained reaction bed while precisely prepared chemical streams travel through it. The bed becomes an observable process environment — not a black box with a paddle. Controlled flow, modular reactors, continuous sensing, residue-event memory.
- CFSPPS™ ↗Continuous-flow SPPSThe scientific authority for the category. Classical solid-phase synthesis suspends resin in a stirred vessel; CF-SPPS keeps the solid phase contained and delivers chemistry through it, residue by residue, under continuous process observation.
- DiastolVAC™ ↗Biomimetic vacuum controlBiomimetic Diastolic Vacuum Control — a coordinated ensemble of pumps, valves and sensors that modulates chamber pressure in measured heartbeats, the way the heart fills and empties. The vacuum is not a passive backdrop here; it is the process variable.
Preservation & Process Technologies
10The low-temperature preservation and process stack that keeps a fragile molecule intact from bench to point of use.
- TgShift™ ↗Glass-transition controlGlass-Transition Temperature Shift — a sublimation-stage technology that raises a formulation's Tg′. Because an amorphous cake collapses the moment its temperature climbs to that boundary, raising the boundary lets the product dry warmer and at higher pressure.
- Cryolapse™ ↗Cryogenic pressure collapseA secondary-vacuum method in which a deeply cold trap, isolated from the pump, passively draws chamber pressure down by capturing sublimating vapour. Panacea reports peptide freeze-drying cut from thirteen hours to four.
- RF Tunnel™ ↗The reconstitution channelPrepares a lyophilized cake to redissolve from the inside as well as the outside. During finishing, radio-frequency energy is directed at the centre of the cake to open a slender central channel, so liquid reaches the core and the surface at once.
- Cryosurge ↗The freeze exotherm up-spikeDeep in the freeze the product does something counter-intuitive: as it turns to ice it gets warmer. A solution supercools, staying liquid several degrees below its freezing point, and when ice finally nucleates the latent heat of crystallisation is released as a sharp upward spike.
- Cryoflare ↗The sublimation down-spikeThe paired landmark: a sharp downward temperature spike during sublimation. Panacea records both spikes and reads them as landmarks that coordinate TgShift governance across the run.
- OxyDeplete™ ↗Gas depletionReduces dissolved, entrained and accessible atmospheric gases in dry-product and liquid systems before controlled argon conditioning and container completion. A dried peptide holds its potency far longer when oxidation is taken off the table.
- ArgonLock™ ↗Controlled argon conditioningNot a heavy gas sitting on top. It works through three faces: argon dissolved into the P-EARLs diluent, argon dissolved into the Liquiprester liquid, and gas-phase argon in the dry chamber — the cake backfilled in full at the end of lyophilisation.
- RedoxVault™ ↗Oxidative-protection architectureFormulation-specific oxidative protection for redox-sensitive actives. Not a single universal recipe and not universally oily — depending on the payload it may use lipid micro-reservoirs, dispersed protective compartments, trace-metal control or compatible chelation.
- Cryoviscous™ ↗The cold, low-mobility stateA characterised, temperature-induced high-viscosity, low-mobility processing state near the boundary between a freely-flowing liquid and a semisolid — still enough that a completion layer can sit above the formulation without mixing into it.
- Low-Temperature DisciplineThe end-to-end cold processThe cold process that ties it together: finishing at −3 to −5 °C, sublimation ending at −8 to −10 °C, desorption at −3 to −5 °C, with no +40 to +60 °C overheat — preserving binding affinity and bioavailability.
Formulation, Dosing & Science
7What goes into the cartridge, how much of it reaches the patient, and the computational model that decides both.
- Peptourbillon™ ↗The layered formulationA single- or multi-layered peptide compound, engineered layer by layer for chemistry, binding affinity and shelf life — never a blend. Named for the horological tourbillon: many delicate parts arranged so each is protected from what would otherwise degrade it.
- Peptidic Liquid ↗The formulation in solutionA peptide is only as good as the liquid it lives in. The peptidic liquid — the peptide together with its cryoprotectants, buffers and scaffolders — is what decides whether a dose survives freezing, drying, storage and the journey back into solution.
- P-EARLs™ ↗The reconstitution liquidPanacea-Engineered Aseptic Reconstitution Liquid: buffered pH, oxygen-depleted, argon-dissolved, bubble-free, and engineered per peptide. For decades reconstitution was an afterthought — one generic solvent poured onto molecules that are anything but generic.
- IncreSure™ ↗Dose metrologyMaps and verifies how much active a dosing pen actually delivers per increment by characterising the pen's real mechanics — piston travel, displaced volume, usable stroke, residual — rather than trusting the 60 IU or 80 IU figure printed on the dial.
- ElimiVoid™ ↗Front-void eliminationThe completion operation that removes a liquid cartridge's remaining front void — the small liquid-free space ahead of the primary aliquot — withdrawing only the excess completion medium, without moving the rear plunger or disturbing the API aliquot.
- Dicoias Ψ ↗The substance-intelligence modelIts founding idea is unusual: a substance has no single universal good-or-bad number. Every substance is represented as a six-layer tensor, read by a question-specific Ψ operator — Paracelsus’ dose-makes-the-poison, made computable.
- The Dicoias Equation ↗The computational languageEvery substance becomes a vector; every recipe becomes a need; the equation measures the gap between them. Structure in, property out, certainty honestly capped — and an honest decline when the data is not there.
